Darren Attends Graduation Dinner At OXO Tower

On Tuesday 3rd April 2014 celebrations were in order for Allianz scholars, who attended a graduation dinner at the OXO Tower in Southbank, London.

In 2012 our Account Handler, Darren, was chosen from scores of candidates to take part in The Allianz Scholarship programme, which recently saw him achieve a CII Diploma in Insurance.

Darren sat his final exam in October 2013, and collected his results in December, which revealed that he had passed the 18-month programme.

The graduation dinner was a grand affair. Darren attended the event with our chairman, Andy Webb, who was Darren’s sponsor from MPW. Darren and his fellow scholars were all awarded a bottle of champagne, which was labeled ‘You are an Allianz Graduate’ as a token of their success. Scholars, sponsors and representatives from the industry enjoyed a champagne reception and a three-course meal, followed by cocktails. For many (including Darren!) the festivities went on well into the early hours of the morning!

Reflecting on the evening, Darren said:

“It was an excellent night with great food and even better company. The venue was spectacular, thanks to Allianz for putting on a top evening. I also really enjoyed having the opportunity to socialise and celebrate with the other students.”

He added:

“I’d like to express again how grateful I am to have been sponsored by Allianz and MPW. Although it’s been challenging, I’ve really enjoyed taking part in the programme and value the breadth of knowledge I have gained.”
